Many thanks to our club members, their families and friends who supported the Pot Luck Dinner held at the Sea Scout hall. A wonderful meal was supplied by members among the delicacies a rabbit casserole.
Desserts were so tempting that one member was seen leaving the hall at the conclusion of the evening, clutching a very attractive looking dessert and spoon.
Sir Peter Blake Memorial
Following the dinner we were treated to a fascinating and interesting illustrated talk by Rod and Liz Tombleson, who were part of a group who travelled last year to the Amazon for the Worldwide Expedition 2011, where they installed a concrete cross in Sir Peter’s honour.
A most successful evening. We had a great time raising $316 for the maintenance of our boats.
